does it work if you patch while connected to a VPN? that's an invalid link which makes me think you're getting a corrupt cached copy of the file list.

Am getting the same error message. Do you need to clear your content then repatch the whole game?

Kinda odd that happens. I was able to patch everything in POE before. Is there any other way of resolving this?

I'm getting (basically) the same thing:
--------------------------- Connection Failure --------------------------- Error: Received HTTP 404 while downloading http://patch211.pathofexile.com:8095/patch/1.0.0.2/Art/Textures/Interface/UIImages_2.dds --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Still no other ideas on how to resolve this? I'd really like to get started on the new leagues. =/ |

Anything that gives a 404 for the patch 1.0.0.2 means you're getting cached content because that was an old patch. The current patch is 1.0.0.3 (for now). If you're attempting to download files from 1.0.0.2 then they aren't there and that is what produces the 404 error... which means that you're being fed an old cached file list. This is usually ISP related and usually can be resolved by using a VPN while patching (but not always apparently).
Unfortunately if the VPN doesn't work for you, then you'll have to wait until your ISP cache expires and re-patch again. It will do no good to delete and download the whole thing again if you're getting the same cached list with the same incorrect patch. Good luck. |

Sounds like a DNS issue. What is your DNS server? Set your DNS to 8.8.8.8 do an Ipconfig /flushdns and then try to download again!

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I didn't quite understand your comment above.
I tried running the packcheck.exe and deleting the content.ggpk, neither of which worked. I ran it again, and then started the download and got a new error: --------------------------- Connection Failure --------------------------- Error: Timeout was reached while downloading http://patchcdn.pathofexile.com/1.0.0.2/Art/particles/monster_particles/gore_explode/glare.dds --------------------------- OK --------------------------- Still a 1.0.0.2, though, so I suppose I have the same problem? I don't have access to a VPN, to my knowledge. Any ideas on how I might try to figure out when that chache will be deleted? Thanks for the help! |
