Righteous Fire Build still viable?

I am seeing some people saying it isn't possible now to rely only on a sustained Righteous Fire?

It seems like the new gem made it easier by bumping down the life degen per second from 100% to 90%. Are there other changes that were made that makes it impossible?

it now also burns on 70% of your ES. That's why its impossible to run on anything other then pure life builds.
