Ranger - Pet
|
A skill gem that allows to summon a pet (only one! more than one would be to much) like a bear(Tank) , Tiger ( ev, critical), wolf whatever something that line...
And it would be interesting to make a major key stone that would make you have a permanent pet and buff him but if that pet died the character died... Like some kind of bond Anyway its an awesome game as it is and this is just a suggestion This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

You do know that classes have no class specific skills, right?

" You do know that a class area can have nodes that focus on specific skill types, right? Onto the suggestion: It's got potential, if done right. I specially like the idea of having a Keystone that makes you share your Life with the pet, while buffing both of your Health pools. That'd be cool. And it would make complete sense if said nodes were located close to the Ranger area of the tree. However, I'm not fond of having characters running away with ghosts, skeletons, zombies, animated golems AND an animal. There needs to be some kind of shared limit between all of those. Perhaps summoning an animal unsummons skeletons, spectres and zombies, and vice-versa. Forum Warrior - Why are you creating a thread about this subject? Use Search! Also Forum Warrior - Nice necro. " Best idea you ever had. |

If you summon a wolf it scares away skeletons. Ocelots scare zombies.

You could do it by having a keystone which gave a bunch of bonuses to minions (in the ranger area, perhaps had some further bonuses behind it), but made your maximum minions 1.
Then you could also add the wolf or whatever other pets you wanted as individual minion gems without making them too OP for normal summoners. You could then also use this keystone to have one mega spectre or zombie or dominated minion or suit of armour or whatever you wanted. :) ------------- Edit: example: 100% more minion damage 30% more minion speed 100% more minion life You can only have 1 minion. Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/657756 Last edited by dudiobugtron#4663 on Oct 20, 2013, 6:53:35 PM

" Thats not OP at all... |

" I agree. Did you read the part where it says 'only 1 minion'? No zombies, No skeleton, only 1 spectre or animated guardian. (Well, you could have a zombie if you wanted to instead...) It's exceptionally underpowered in most cases, but there are some builds that it would work well for. Wow didnt expect so many replies to my suggestion thanks!
"Perhaps summoning an animal unsummons skeletons, spectres and zombies, and vice-versa." Didn't though about that and your absolutely right you shouldnt be able to mix animals with undead. But my idea was you could still have a pack of wolves or bears or other animals. but if you took that special keystone you could summon only one animal and they would have a bond with you buffing you and the animal . the drawback you would have to be carefull if the animal died you died because of the bond. Any more suggestions to this thread? |
