lesser multiple projectile don't produce additional projectiles

Hi,

my problem is: I got myself a lesser projectile gem for my fireball. I put the gem in a wand with incinerate and fireball. But still I get no additional fireballs.

None of the Items above show any signs of "you cannot use this item, because you don't have the right stats or skills..".

Switching between items and does also not work.

Hope you can help me here with a solution to that bug.

Sincerly yours

Is the LMP gem "Linked" to the Fireball gem? You can't just have a socket for it, but the socket has to be linked to the other socket.

Can you post the wand with the gems in question?

Just create a post, then click on the character portrait at the the top, find the item, and click on it once. It should create the item in the forum for us.
It's probably not linked, but looks linked, kinda like this:
Here is my current wand setup:

FYI, that wand's elemental damage isn't added to your spells, only wand attacks.

You should get any new wand with linked sockets if you need the spell damage and don't care about wand attacking.
Not a single socket is linked hence you cant get multiple projectiles.

Ok got it working with fusion orbs. Thanks for the advise. Lost here 3 orbs for 2 links in the process. Is there a better way to link them less "expensive". Because I guess it might get really expensive later in the endgame...
By the way, do already linked wands even drop?

So if I cast a fireball, the additional 10-19 fire elemental damage will not apply? But the physical damage will??? Sound a little weird...

The only way to create links on an item that isn't already linked is to use Orbs of Fusing. That is it. If you have Quality on the item, it will be eaten as well to increase odds of a max-link. Items come with random sockets and random links. Wands can only have 3 sockets at most, and it is possible to 3-link. It's less common though that they're dropped, but it happens.

No. Neither of the mods will apply to the Fireball.

Physical and Elemental properties on a wand only apply to the "wand" default attack. Only thing that applies to Fireball is the "increased spell damage".

Edit: to clarify the final point.. When you use the "Wand" attack, it will do 9-16 physical damage plus 10-19 fire damage plus 9-17 cold damage plus 2-24 lightning damage. Cumulative. That ONLY applies to the wand attack.

You could have bought a better wand for less than a fusing, that was my point. You wouldn't need the wand you have if you are only using spells. You could get that spell damage from holding practically any wand.
