Is this game linear?
|
I played Sacred 2, and though from what I can dig up from memory, that game wasn't completely non-linear in the beginning, but around mid-game you could just generally go wherever the hell you wanted.
I want to ask that, if I liked the openness that Sacred 2 offered, does that mean I will like this game even more so? Meaning, is this game more leaning towards on rails with it's quest system, or can I decide to branch off from the main story and go wherever the fuck? Sorry for the language. |

Well, yes and no. The story is linear but as are the zones somewhat but you can go wherever you want, once an area is unlocked, much like S2.
And then there are maps, which cannot be described as linear |

Its pretty much linear yes.

" Except the skill tree which is more quadratic ;) |

" I I always thought it was more along the lines of third-order ordinary differential equation, but that's just me. |
