POE and my PS3 Controller

Been playing my favorite game this way since jan. 23 and wouldn't have it any other way.
So I thought I would share with any of you that also hate using an antiquated keyboard for a fast paced game that doesn't need one for gameplay.

My gear...
Ps3 controller- 12 keys
Razer Mamba- 5 keys
Keyboard- chat only

I use mouse in the right hand and controller in my left. I keep my keyboard by my side for chat.

Ps3 configuration
L1- shift/ fire without moving
L2- map
Directional Pad- skills 1-4
Select- skill 5
Thumbstick- potions 1-5

Mouse and keyboard are the same as usual
Except for the following
2 side buttons are for
1- new instance
2- inventory

Everything I have is wireless so I can play from my bed on a 52 inch widescreen.

This is a set-up for casual play
If anyone has any questions just let me know
Looking forward to trying this with the new steam controller but it is prime with the Ps3, I have tried the 360 controller but it is a bit too clunky as a one handed option, where as the Ps3 is very fluid.

As someone who loves D3 for console, this sounds awful.
Ok I'll bite. What is awful about it? You will still have your precise mouse control for targeting, it just trades button mashing your keyboard for a controller that is built to mash!

I have a keyboard laying nice and comfy in my lap that I barely touch. With my mouse doing 99% of my work. Why would I want to try to rest a controller in the proper way to try to hit a couple of buttons occasionally.
Why do people want to play in couch or in bed? Do they know they can get a good comfortable computer chair?

Reminds me too much of being at work, blah! When I am home it's all about pajamas, slippers, and loungin'! Plus I have always been a console guy. This is my first real computer game experience and I just wanted to rig it to my lazy ass needs.

Fair enough. Whatever works, right!

I think a comfortable couch and a comfortable computer chair are pretty much similar, though not exact. Not really a fan of sitting all day since I usually need to stretch or keep my blood circulation going. Laying down in bed or standing is usually the proper ways of playing video games since you are not close to a screen and you are not restricting your blood circulation (which can increase your risk of getting stroke, if you spend WAY TOO MUCH time sitting, but the odds are still extremely low, so it is not that big of a deal unless you are sitting 24/7).

When I play games via keyboard/mouse, I obviously have to be sitting on a chair or something to properly play. I usually take a short break every 2-3 hours to stretch or get refreshment. When I play games via controller, I have greater flexibility in where I can play. I can play while I am standing up, sitting down, or laying down in bed and my gameplay will not be affected. Also, my only break would be getting refreshment or going restroom.

The only build that I have that will really benefit from a controller would be my BoR FB build. I only have three skills that I am usually using and the rest are just auras and flasks which can be configured in other parts of the controller.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.
