Why is Piety's name Piety?
She's not very righteous, or full of piety, why is her name that? Anyone know?

read the new Clarissa text.
Piety's name is Vinia, and she was a part self-made scientist, part prostitute back in Theopolis. for her prostitute part, she was condemned to burn. that's how they handled these situations, before they decided to just exile people to distant continents full of zombies. Dominus came by to hear her last confession, and she was able to convince him to let her live, since her scientist part came up with something big, that can be beneficial to him as well. so big, he not only let her live, but made her his right-hand woman, then travelled to Wareclast with her and Gravicius to further investigate her discovery, and reap it's benefits for himself. she is a tool in Dominus' hand. a very sadistic evil tool at that, but unquestionably loyal, because she owes him her life. the name "Piety" likely reflects that loyalty. I see. Thanks for all the answers. I hope there's more in the story later on as to what her death means for everything...

" Just what I thought when first seeing Lunaris 3. I visited a concentration camp memorial site once, and the piles of emaciated bodies look creepily familiar. A sword he brought, his foes to maim and rend, from places dark behind forbidden doors, But night by night he woke with frighten'd roars from darkest dreams, too strange to comprehend. " I'd say this, given the nature of how Thaumaturgy is defined in real life. ~In original Greek writings, the term thaumaturge referred to several Christian saints. This usage carries no associations with magic, and is usually translated into English as "wonderworker", a saint through whom God works miracles, not just occasionally, but as a matter of course. I didnt mean it as a negative thing.Symbolism is very common in all forms of art and pop art(like video game designing).I see nothing bad in relating the evil arch enemy of the game with nasism(if that was even the intention). And i am from europe where the black cloud of nazism is still present, especially with the financial crisis that resulted in huge increase in the popularity of extreme right wing organisations,in many european countries, including mine(greece)
