Poison Resistance

Why is there no items with Resistance to Poison, most rings have resistance to , fire ,cold, shock ect.
In a cave instance now.. keep dying to poison because i cant heal fast enough to survive.
Would be nice to have a ring with poison resist .....
any one got any help ???

I believe that there is a unique item that gives chaos (poison) resist. Other than that, CI is the only counter.

Chaos resist is very hard to come by and that's completely intentional.

As mentioned there are 2 sources, CI and "Geofri's Crest" unique amour/ES helm (Lev 53, +15 chaos res).

Both have drawbacks:

* Chaos Inoculation (CI): immune to chaos damage, but your max HP=1 and are completely dependent on energy shield (ES). ES only recharges after several seconds of not taking any damage (but recharges very quickly). There are no potions for restoring ES, but the Ghost Reaver passive can convert life leech into ES leech.

* The unique: it's level 53 and only gives 15% resistance.


The best defense against chaos damage:
* High life (or ES) and regen

* Positioning: can often dodge attacks or distract mobs with totems/curses to avoid getting hit.

crest of anarchy gives 10% chaos resist and prevents 2 viper strike charges, shown in the unique thread or here in anubite's post in page 2

OK, that one wasn't on wiki. What item slot is that? I wasn't able to find it in the unique thread (at least in the linked items of the OP). Not finding it with a forum search either...
