Different armor types and different colored sockets

Why, for the love of god, did you make it so hard to get the opposite color of sockets on items than which it's main requirement stat is?

I highly agree with this.
I've eaten up maybe 2k chromes total on trying to get 4RGB on my Carcass Jack.

So annoying.

Yeah, it's a little ridiculous. Just because I want to use an item with armor as the defense stat, doesn't mean I want to put mostly red gems in it.

There are two things that the developers like, that many forumgoers seem not to like:

1. making hard choices
-"Do I use this piece of gear because it has exactly the colours and links I want? Or should I wear this Carcass Jack, which has worse colours/links for me, but gives me increased AOE/etc.?"

2. the best gear to be incredibly statistically unlikely, such that very few people are able to obtain them

Not sure if the devs will ever be swayed with regards to socket colours, since they seem to like the two points above manifesting quite strongly in socket colours, even though those who are vocal on the forums hate it
