How does the 3 of the same name vendor recipe work?
How does the recipe of 3 identified rares of the same name giving an alch work? I thought it was finding three of the same base type with same type name, but when I identified them the thing didn't work. Does it not work until I get 3 of the exact same name? Do I need to get three gloves with the same exact "Rage Grip Nubuck Gloves" name? How is that possible, when there are literally millions of combinations of words that can be used for items?

" Well, that's badly thought out. Since there are millions of name combinations available this vendor recipe is near impossible (without trading). Hmm, this vendor recipe speaks on the whole about the design choices for most of this game. IGN: Grevania

Hello,!
I THINK they've changes the patterns, normaly i only sell 3x uid iteams of the same base (and quality them if yellow is above 15%) This gives me 2x alch, I think it would be safe to assume that doing the same without quality would give me 1x alch. Id iteams however i belive only gives you chanse orbs, not 100% sure here though. There is a Wiki online with all those vendor patterns, check it out if you got more questions! :P zzZzzzZzzZz

" Well...good thing trading is a core aspect of the game. |

" No it is not that impossible, only necessity is to become a hoarder.

" No, it's quite well thought out, and you don't need to accumulate millions of items to find matching names. The recipe used to be just two matching names and it was heavily abused to the point where (without breaking any rules) people were able to make literally hundreds of alchs per day, and it was turning into a pay to win mechanic for people with massive stash tabs (who now feel silly that they have so many >.>). I think it got balanced to the right point, where it's still possible to get enough matching rares from time to time, without it being so easy that it gets abused. " Nah, it's a few thousand if I recall correctly Having done this recipe a bit, here's my suggestion on how you can do it: 1. get enough stash tabs (likely you'll need like atleast 10-20, but more is better) 2. fill up stash tabs with rares 3. run the chrome plugin that helps finds recipes 4. sell any 3 of same names you have (not likely any in first run) 5. keep all 2 of same name you have, sell the rest of the rares 6. repeat from step 2 Generally I'd say it's not really worth the hassle, if it was Regals it would been more interesting... but oh well... Edit: oh, and forgot to mention, I usually sell rares that give alchemy shards before step 2, since they already pay off parts of an alch for themselves...
