How does this passive work?

If you get hit (and are stunned) while casting a spell, the spell fails because it is interrupted. Or at least, that's what I've experienced through play. If you have avoid cast interruption, you have a % on a hit that would stun to not interrupt your spell.

I find it useful for recasting molten shield, since I'm usually in melee range and getting hit. Although I would like to find a way to cap it to 100% instead of just 25%.

" Unwavering Stance & Eye of Chayula for the 100%. 75% would require you to grab that passive as well as always maintaining 1 point of Energy Shield. (Zealot's Oath comes in handy). IGN Suojata

" I don't understand why I would want 1 point of ES and how that prevents interruption. I don't understand this thread at all TBH, but I am happy to admit I am dense at times. I seem to get interrupted casting Portal if I get hit at all, but have no noticeable problem playing witch, even my current slow cast speed build. This is my projected build right now: link I could stretch a few points for this node and/or unwavering stance at high levels if I wanted to. What is the actual mechanics here?
