Extra skill panel for auras
If a character uses several auras (and some other skills also), he is forced to perform that "click bound skill N -> choose an aura -> activate" routine for every single aura he has every time he logs in.
On the other hand, the mictrotransaction stash button seems to be so lonely. Ok, so the idea is to add a special aura panel: - if a character has any aura skill gems, a small button appears next to the the microtransactions button. Click it, and another skill panel pops up, where only auras can be placed. If he doesn't have any aura skill gems equipped, the aura button is not shown - to activate an aura, you right-click on it (left-click being a usual pick-a-skill function), or just allow bindings for these - if any auras on the panel are running, there will be a glow around the aura panel button (the same one that appears around an active aura) - to quickly activate/deactivate all auras, you'll have to either Ctrl+click the aura panel button, or ctrl+<hot_key_for_aura_panel_button> So, those who are not using any auras will see no difference. Those who are, but don't like this idea... Well, maybe just make this whole thing optional (a simple checkbox at Options->UI will make everyone happy). This thread has been automatically archived. Counter-suggestion: any skill that is not loaded into one of the skill slots cannot be used, if it is an aura or other toggleable skill, it is turned off.

If you want an active aura, cast it from the skill panel. There should be no auto aura casting hotkey. I've never even played a game before that would let me just press one button and have all buffs applied to me.
And it would have implications in PvP as well. I don't like this. It removes all involvement of the player actually controlling their character. -1 stop over moderating that makes the official forums useless

" I like this too - in theory. There's one problem, though. You can't use two skills simultaneously. Auras, however, empower all skills you have. That's why it's beneficial to stack as many auras as you can afford to. With this in mind, your suggestion would make it so that any player in his right mind would have ONE skill, and everything else would be auras and/or curses. So no, your idea doesn't work. My counter-counter-suggestion: Give players 4 types of Slots. 1 - Non-Aura-only Slots. Suggested: 5 2 - Universal Slots (any kind). Suggested: 3 3 - Aura-only Slots. Suggested: 2 4 - Portal Slot. Suggested: 1 This means you could have between 5 aura + 5 non-aura, and 2 aura + 8 non-aura. This would impose a limit on: - How many non-aura skills you can use - How many aura skills you can use - How many skills you can use This could mean you give players 2 more slots than usual.
