Problem with crab (Deep Dweller) type mobs.

If you kill the crab mobs that have the little lobster thing inside of them with a skill that destroys their first form (i.e., Freeze from cold damage/infernal blow), they do not drop any loot whatsoever due to not being killed in their second form.

I have extensively tested this and found it is not a matter of drop rate. I have killed hundreds of smaller crabs this way as well as tried it on the Deep Dweller several times.

With the Dweller being a unique, you would expect it to drop at least 1-2 white items on a bad roll. However, if it is frozen and then killed while in first form (same applies to killing it with infernal blow) no loot of any kind is dropped. Once again, I've tested this ten times on Deep Dweller alone with 35% IIQ and 50% IIR.

This is an extremely annoying bug to encounter as it basically punishes you for your build killing this mob type more efficiently than other builds. It doesn't seem right that just because you spec a certain way you are punished by receiving no drops from these mobs types.

It is especially annoying in maps when many of the rare mobs are crab types and you are an Ice Witch in a party and cannot do anything to help kill them.
I think GGG already knows about this bug and are trying to fix it (maybe they have it as low-priority bug so might take a while to fix), but yes it is annoying as hell.
Weaklings can't pick their way of death.
This has already been fixed for 0.9.12, finally! Hooray!
Very much appreciated!
