I think the bonus should be at least 50% if not even more. When it comes to higher maps, there is no way I'm running it unid for only 30%. It's simply too risky map drop wise. You might end up with crappy mods and 70% total quant when you could have had good mods and 100% quant.

First I was excited but now I am disappointed by the unid map mechanic.
It has a lot of flaws and is actually not worthwhile. 1. Didnt try it out yet but you will probably kill yourself with bloodmagic. This would be completly ridiculous 2. It should show the map mods after you activated the map to solve problem 1, 3. Higher maps are better for orbs of alchemy so its pretty much possible, that a blue map is worth less then a white map 4. Chances are high that you get only 1 mod. This is gay because actually you could have just spent an augmentation orb to compensate for the unid. 5. 30% dont make a difference Pretty MEH In my opinion the unid map mechanic should be a concept you can "build" arround. I would really like to upgrade blue low level maps to have a higher one which gives an additional 30% But as you currently can trade only 3:1 its also pretty shitty. If you could vendor unappropriate blue maps 2:1 for a +1lv unid blue map it would be pretty cool. Even investing 2 alchs + 2 maps for 1 unid rare map would be nice I dont see the point why map mods in unID maps are hidden. They should be revealed AFTER you activated the map so you can adjust as a player or leave it if you failed the gamble. This could be so much more, but not its not viable to care about unid maps. |

unid maps are awesome.
you are guaranteed an equivalent of the highest roll possible (-max res -> 30% quantity) your unid map will be better than most id'ed maps. i run every map up to level 70 unid. on 70s it can hurt sometimes but at the very least you save youself quite a bit of currency. the optimum would be maze -max res so you have a 60%quantity maze which is better than most rare maps. the previous poster has no clue of what he is talking btw. | |
Anyone with CI do this?
I'm curios, is there a way to figure out if BM is active without dying? Brutus. Do you even sync?

"I would assume with Blood Magic, not having any mana should be a clear indicator. I haven't run a BM map yet, but I would think that's how it works. BreakingHearts/RhoaHood (Standard) | MaidCarrion/MessyLittleBow (Mercenaries) Last edited by SilentOppressor#6006 on Jul 6, 2013, 3:44:01 AM

That would be correct.
I do unid maps to play guess the mod. Got a 75% total one yesterday, TC and some 18% prefix, my guess is it was either phys reflect or monster damage. Fun. How to make a build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/510084
