Cannot Regenerate Life/ Recover Life from Potions

Sorry if this is long; I'll try to post only relevant information.

Story:

After respec; I used

to run Anger, Wrath, Clarity and Grace on my life. Took the chest off. Ran Hatred and Haste on Mana. I then went to farm in Merc Fellshrine. I then realized something weird. Everytime I took damage to my life, it wouldn't regen. I tried using

on it to no avail. Finally, I tried my other pots (granite/quicksilver) and they worked fine.

I then did some testing in Terraces and found that regardless of the auras, of whether the Convenant is equipped or what I was doing to regen/recover life, nothing worked.

Please help; I do not wish to die to this.

For reference, I do not have Zealot's Oath.

Update 2:
I have tried restarting my computer, restarting the game, joining all three difficulties in various locations. This bug is limiting me from playing the game as I cannot actually survive monster damage (haha >.<)

Update 3:
I have tested on my other character. It does not have the same problem.
Some more information.
I recently unspec'd Blood Magic Keystone. No other significant skill changes. I recently equipped Carcass Jack/Chin Sol. No other item changes.
