Help on skilling Dual wield sword Dualist

Hello everybody,

I'am start playing Poe a few days ago and so I decided to play the dualist. With google I found a skilling that seems interesting to me (The skill tree that i found)


My actual Passive skill tree build

My current equip:






I like to play with 2 sword with higher dps (>1.4) and my main attac is dualstrike. Determination is my actual aura. In future I want to play with the cleave gem (but I haven't it yet) because I don't have any AoE Attack.

I can't decide for myself if Blood Magic or Vaal Pact will be good for me. ?.
Is it necessary for a Dualist to Intelligence ? If true, how many ?

My current stats are (level 43): Int 24, Str 122, Dex 236, Armor 1820(without Determination), 653 Hp and 429 Dps(default attack).

I will be very thankfully for any advice

It's not that you NEED int, or dex, or str, it's just that in order to use certain skills, and keep leveling their gems past a certain level each time, the attribute of that gem (red=str/green=dex/blue=int) must be a certain number (set in stone).

So maybe you won't be using any skill and therefore gem other than red or green, so you won't need too much int, only the necessary to sustain your mana pool, BUT do you actually plan on not using any... blue aura at all, like the almost mandatory end-game wise purity (the one that raises your elemental resistances), or even wrath (the one that adds lightning damage to your attack), not to mention other useful thingies like the rarity gem.

So think it over, make up your mind, and plan accordingly.

I run 7 auras at level 82, dual wielding axes, mostly physical, but lot of elemental damage also, safer this way with reflect and stuff, my atrributes STR382 / DEX212 / iNT114.

I see, if I want to use purity or wrath i need to have 96 / 151 Int (at level 20), this is want I want to know.

Not sure if ur melee or LS but this is what i think about the info u gave i cant ur tree on this computer

1-I think u need new weapons they both have low dps at 70

2-ur chest has no armor if ur melee u need armor to take the hit definetly hp is nice on a chest but armor comes 1st on the chest imo

3-ur boots need movement speed+hp we need mobility especially if melee (perpetius in maps will own u with no mouv speed)

4-Cleave: not sure y u say in the future u can use cleave from the start and I see u have lightning strike it works better with a 2h sword imo

5-Hatred aura scales very well with physical damage

6- u cant use dual and double strike u have to pick one or the other its a 1vs1 attck spell y would u take both and u need AOE that works well with ur weapons get cleave asap and 4 link ur gloves and use cleave to it with CLEAVE+Meleephysical+lifeleech+fasterattck buy them in trade chat they like 1 chaos each

7-i would not take BM in tree maybe as a gem but that is later in game when u have a 5l chest

8-drop the belt the gloves does a gj for leaching

9-get hp on ur jewelry

10-u will need approx 154 int to support blue aura gems try to get int on helm and rings and maybe +30 in tree

Anyway check out Sebash6 guide in duelist thread u don’t need to copy it u can just read it will give u good ideas of what to do

Thanks for the lot of tips, I will follow them wisely. I play melee not LS but at the moment I put all gems I have in equip because I want to level, even if I don't use them, same as double and dual strike.

You said I don't have armor on my chest, but I use Iron reflexes so I think evasion and armor is the same, is it wrong ?

In point 8 you said something about gj, what does this mean ?

The next time I will be online, I will buy cleave and test it.

Gj=good job i meant that u should go with 1 of these item not both cause u don’t need all that leech and u can get a better belt like more hp more resist u are physical damage so the glove will give u 3%life and 2%mana that is enough so that is y I said drop the belt and get one that will cover other areas.

Armor=yes u get IR but the combination of the chest is 270 approx that is so very low on a chest take a look at my chest it has low health but I still need high armor (my chest 1.4k) somewhere and chest gives the most usually
