Melee Physical Templar - 2h axe

I'm having a bit of trouble - I know i need some gear upgrades (gloves/rings mainly and perhaps my weapon) but i feel like im lacking damage still

I'm trying to figure out what gems would be best off in the build for my 5socket

mostly trying heavy strike and cleave. also want to try sweep. not sure what i should be doing to get better damage for map clearing though. also i think i'll need to blood magic perhaps since i do have a bit of a mana issue without

any help would be much appreciated, i'll link my build and my current gear, thanks!!!

(I'm also up for using my 12 or so passive refunds and some regrets if there's an obvious issue with my tree, im just about to get iron reflexes on it with my next 2 levels)

Hey,
DEFINATELY get blood magic, with all that life and regen it will help a lot.
Problem with cleave and heavy strike is it "up close" you want to try and find something that can hit from semi ranged, thats why I went with maces and ground smash (or whatever its called).
Ground smash, leap smash, blood magic and high life/regen +physical damage works well.
