Dunes map boss, the Blacksmith

The new Blacksmith second form makes me want to never play a Dunes map ever again.

Anyone else thinking he's really over the top? It's not just the turbo desync leap of death, he does something insane in melee too (and I'm melee)... hardcore characters, stay far far away from Dunes.

I second that. It is now by far the worst map. The only map I now cannot complete with farming gear, at least in the lvl 66-69 maps.

I fought him for the first time today. I'm glad I had Blind or he would've killed the entire party.

Yeah i runned twinned dunes (2 bosses), as i always loved to do it, they never even hit me earlier, just easy gear. And WOW, when i realised whats happening there, i couldnt even run away, they were like flicker strike quick leaping me, but tbh its a nice change, before it was really to easy.

Kind of interesting regarding him. He was very tough but I solo'd him and was surprised I was able to given I heard how bad he was. Kiting and using whirl to move as soon as he leaps helped I think.. at least that was my strategy.. get in close dual strike ... whirl away.. kite a bit... rinse repeat letting my ES cool down along the way. He was tough but I thought all in all he was easier by far than temple piety for me anyway.

Added thought-- I think leech helped a lot here and currently my life leech is 24% so even when he did hit I was leeching like mad. I'm certain that helped me survive!

haha just wanted to make a topic about him. This boss is now a joke, brutus in Dungeon is not even close to him now. His second forum is rapid leap slamming super hard hit brutus. Really a joke. I died to him 2 times with 2k+ hp 15k armor and 75% res. He eats me with two Rapid hits, not even time to pop a potion, just instant dead. A joke boss. Will never do this map again.

All bosses are an issue tbh... since the patch. Just some are still manageable. There are tons of posts and threads created, but no one is making the link?

And there are many more posts about kole, vaal (the rocks) etc. Example merciless vaal rocks would stun and hit my melee for 1/3rd of 2.6k hp, with 11k armor (20k somewhat with granite) 78% resists. This use to be way more doable...

Blacksmith just needed that buff imo. Before it i just popped a skeletotem, and he couldn't come close to me. Now he's on par with dungeon Brutus.
Have to admit, my heart skipped a beat when i first saw him leap :D
New favourite is tropical island monkey boss :)

Guess you haven't visited the Spider Forest recently....
