Baleful Gem, etc.

Sorry if this has already been suggested. But, it would be nice if we could keep the Baleful Gem and other pieces in our stash. Since bag space is so limited every little bit counts.
I agree, but then, every character created in the same league would have acess to those items, and wouldn't have to go to certain areas!

Good point. Maybe they could have a quest item bag or something. No biggie either way but was just a thought. I'm sure they have more pressing things to deal with :)

1) They can only be acquired once per difficulty per character

2) Quest items are consumed upon completion of the quest they are for

It is not a problem storing them in the stash. Besides that a person could accidentally become unable to progress.

I'd like to see a (tab-accessible) quest item stash. Keeps your loot stash less cluttered; AND highlights that, yes, this item is for a quest, so just leave it be fine adventurer till you need to slay the dragon.

I personally would love to see some kind of quest item inventory, sort of like how Rift does it, if you've played that. There you have a couple of inventory slots under your quest log, only able to store quest items. Sure, you get rid of most items pretty quickly, but some hang around for a while and might take up several slots (I know of one item which took 3 slots, in act 2, just can't remember the name). It's not a super important feature, but I think it'd be nice, keeps the inventory a bit cleaner :)
I agree with the implementation of the "quest item inventory" or someting similar.
There was mention of it in the Q&A earlier this week. Nothing concrete.. but I interpreted Chris's comments as acknowledging that quest items could be stored elsewhere in the future.

It would be easier if we simply gave the gems/spear to an NPC that held onto them until we needed them and then he just did some shit and made a combined item that opened the path onward.

I would say that us holding onto them for most of the act shouldn't even happen, regardless of whether they could go in a stash. The number of times I've seen someone say "do I need to keep this spear?" is quite absurd! It's a kink in the smooth progression of the act.
