Confused about seasons

It says here that Season 2 ended on the 2nd of June, yet on the same page events are scheduled for the 5th. I might assume this is Season 3, then, but that doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. Can someone explain this to a poor newbie?

Season 2 has been extended by 5 days to reach original goal of ~260 events. GGG decided they had too many events and removed 30-40 of them initially and left with 226. Since prizes were designed around assumption of 260 events they prolonged the season and added remaining events in more days.

" I have been searching for a word on season 3 as well. I sure hope they dont wait until the 4 month leagues are over until starting season 3 :( I dont have all that much time so I cant compete with my main chars, new chars in 4-month leagues, and do races. I think I will skip new leagues for the most part but I do love races so that I can switch it up for an hour or two here and there. |
