100 rarity vs 30 quantity
I'm already at 421 rarity without wondertraps. Do you think the 100 rarity will improve my drops when my total is already so high? I'll have to drop 30 quantity from my goldwyrms to do that.

Depends on your current IIQ/R and the ratio.
IIR x IIQ = Total Magic Find Whichever combination gives you higher is what you should ideally run with. However, it's not exact because IIQ gives more currency drops whereas IIR doesn't. IGN: Troheim

Yeah, I think you'd be better off going for IIQ.
and for sake of curiosity, can I see your gear? I can only go as high as 291 IIR without Wondertrap and IIR support gem |

Edit - realised my math was worthless without his current IIQ

" My current IIQ is 101 with the goldwyrms so.. 421 IIR / 101 IIQ VS 521 IIR / 71 IIQ Also, currency drops are irrelevant as I use this char for boss kills. Not mob farming. Last edited by Piedpiper#5988 on May 31, 2013, 3:53:12 AM

I'd like to see that gear, too.

" First = 10.47 more rares and legendaries and 2.01 more everything else Second = 10.62 more rares and legendaries and 1.71 everything else. Basically its about a 1.5% increase in rares/legendaries at the cost of 15% everything else. |

" Thanks man, could you explain the math? And my gear is pretty standard perfect iir gear with a 61 rarity amulet, perfect reapers pursuit and 33/16 helm. This is on hc. |

Buggered it up
Should be: First = 8.46 more rares and legendaries and 2.01 more everything else Second = 8.90 more rares and legendaries and 1.71 everything else. So bout 5% more at the cost of 15% currency drops. Maths is pretty much just multiplication. 101 IQ = you're getting 2.01 times the total drops, then those now have a 421% chance is be higher rarity = 2.01 x 4.21.
