What is "Mirror Service" exactly?

I see people selling "Mirror Service". I realize that this involves a Mirror of Kalandra thingy, and that the object is to get a copy of a really top item, but how does it work? Are they selling the item on loan so that someone else mirrors it? Do they place the item in my hands for me to mirror, or do I give them the mirror, or do they supply the mirror, or how does it work?

u give them your mirror +plus the fee they demand+all chromes needed to get the colors u need because mirrored items cant be touched anymore (this means u cant put any orb on them) and he gives u back the mirrored item.Ofc u should do this with a trusted player.
