Performance issue on MSI Titan 18 hx ai

Guys, I'm having some performance issues with my MSI Titan 18 HX Ai. Simply put: every 5-10 minutes the frame rate drops for about 4-5 seconds as the video starts stuttering and then gets back to normal. It happens at random, sometimes in the hideout, sometimes in maps. My laptop is completely maxed out (5090, 96gb RAM, latest i9), and POE2 is the only game I'm having this issue. Every other game I can pretty much max everything out and I won't have any issues, even after playing for hours straight.
The only apps I have installed on my laptop are: Steam, BattleNet and MSI Center. Everything else is either inactive or uninstalled. All drivers are updated, even the bios. I checked the energy option and it is set to be at maximum performance. I've already tried switching to Vulkan and it didn't help either. Also changed to Ultra Performance and still have the same issue. Changed the sound output to low, didn't help either. Last bumped on Feb 14, 2026, 1:59:05 AM

" I'd suggest running the free version of HWMonitor for ~an hour while playing the game, then posting a screenshot showing the temperatures of the video card and, in particular, the CPU. https://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/hwmonitor_1.62.exe Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.
