The temple was a step in the right direction !

Disclaimer : I have about 500 hours in this game. I'm not a poe veteran and only base my feedback on my experience with poe2. I'm not fimiliar with conent from poe 1 .

So despite the streamers and players who milked and juiced their temples at league start , I think it was great to experience it as a semi casual player . Im sure there were parts of it you didnt intend on working the way they did but it was still the most fun ive had since poe2's launch. This was the only league since launch that made me create a second character!!

The amount of loot dropped in it was really what i was looking for since the launch of the game . Perhaps not to the degree befor the nerfs or in the realm of people printing 100x divines an hour but more in the realm of anyone being able to setup a temple and run it. The quantity and quality of loot provided me enough raw currency and item bases in order for me to craft my own gear without instantly relying on the trade site. That alone was a defining moment for my experience this league since my sense of immersion wasnt broken.

One of the most important takeaways fromn the temple was the experience being linear compared to the rest of the limited endgame content. You choose a direction , start placing rooms to create a path, you know what you have ahead of you and then it snowballs from there. It was a huge refresher compared to the content we had availbe like the trials and abys/maps. This is one of the only systems that really respects your time in the sense that if you follow the steps to setup a good temple you are garunteed to have a good amount of loot and exp by playing it. The rng aspect to it wasnt as punishing since once you already had a decent temple established , not getting the medalion you wanted wasn't punishing at all.

Atziri , the red queen was an amazing boss . The potential rewards you get from her on top of running a temple is just an amazing end game experience and I think you should consider implementing something like this for other mechanics such as abyss or inlcude some form of abyss rooms in the temple.

Im sure some can argue againts it due to the fact that this leagues economy is inflated because of the temple but you that can be patched in the future. A guide to temple setup could also benefit new and casual players who dont want to watch a 20 minute video explaining how a new game mechanic works.

I hope you see how impactful this type of mechanic was for players like me . I really want to experience a league like this again in the future.
