Is "Keyboard Chatter Blocker" software permitted by ToS?
|
Some mechanical keyboards have issue known as chatter (kind of double click) - it's when you click key and expect input, but instead you get very fast double-click of expected input. To resolve it, there is open source software: https://github.com/FreneticLLC/KeyboardChatterBlocker
Whilst it might not look like much, it is actually critical in Path of Exile II, because when game receives "SS" input, instead of expected "S" - character stays still instead of moving down. And in the heat of battle, especially for the boss fights, where timing is critical - it is pretty much a game over. About two years ago there was similar topic, but because software itself was never specified by the user, the discussion never continued beside general recommendation from GGG. GGG, is it OK to use "Keyboard Chatter Blocker" to avoid keyboard chatter in PoE 2? Last edited by WarStalkeR#7616 on Feb 9, 2026, 5:07:58 PM Last bumped on Feb 13, 2026, 12:36:00 PM

Hi there! Unfortunately, we cannot comment on the legality of third-party tools, as we aren't able to thoroughly and accurately check exactly how they work.
In general, we do not encourage the creation or use of third-party tools because they provide advantages for players that use them. I'm afraid that we're unable to guarantee if a tool is allowed or would remain allowed in the future. We would recommend refraining from creating or using any programs that automates or does more than one action with a keystroke or mouse click as well as anything that interacts with the game client to provide an advantage over other players or provide information that isn't normally visible. | |
"Hello there! Thanks for the reply! I provided link to the software's source. Any experienced programmer with C-languages knowledge can easily check it. "This software provides absolutely no in-game advantages. "This software doesn't automate anything, nor does more than one action with a keystroke, nor interacts with the game client to provide any kind of advantage. It only blocks excessive keystrokes that happen too fast. |

" None of these things matter - you will only ever get the same non committal canned response for any question asked about third party tools. |

" Damn shame. Well, I had to solder out "Z" and "S" switches on my keyboard, switch them, and the solder them back in. All in order to avoid using any kind of 3rd party software, whilst playing Path of Exile II. Don't want to take any risks with game that I actually like to play.
