Elder circles in t17s

Please god can we do something about elder circles lingering for minutes until you run back to the area they initially spawned? Dying to a mechanic that I outran 2 minutes ago because the game can't keep up is beyond goofy. I shouldn't be losing portals and XP because we can't figure out a solution to just despawn them after x time.
