Phrecia - how to ruin 1/3 of an ascendancy with a single line of text

Long time ago, in a POE far, far away, you've nerfed Baron to the point where nobody would ever want to play zombies again.
With Phrecia, you've made 3 puppeteer ascendancy notables kinda in mind of these nerfs, trying to revive the item and the playstyle. However, in your infinite wisdom, you automatically killed it again. "Your raised zombies count as corpses" Sure, in the past this could have been quite manageable, as sources of detonate dead and similar monster skills that destroyed corpses were scarce. But now? Every second map I run has mobs with these modifiers, instantly deleting my only source of damage. Not only is this stupid as hell, but what is even worse I have to run away, disable my auras, chug mana pots, and spam zombies back up, only to run into a random ritual around the corner with purple DD mobs to do it all over again. Like, guys, do you not know the state of your game? I understand this mod is taken from existing unique gloves, but if I wanted to do popcorn zombies, I would have picked those gloves anyway! (due to 100% inc. zombie life). Did I mention you can't really even use offerings since you have to be pinpoint accurate to not accidentally target your zombies? No? Well, now I have. Oh well, I guess it's partially on me on missing that line, but the fact is it is a very dumb modifier to say the least. We miss you, bald man. Last bumped on Feb 3, 2026, 4:19:42 PM

It. Is. Not. Meant. For. Permanent. Zombies. Period. There are sooooo many other builds that utilize this line of text exceptionally well.......and you DON'T worry about corpse explosion mobs or loss of dps or.....anything you have to complain about. The point? Be more creative. The node is designed to literally SCREAM at you "don't run permazombies". My favorite comparison is something like complaining that Assassin's "unstable infusion" gives you power charges.....when your build doesn't crit and you'd rather have frenzy charges. Well guess what? TOUGH! The node is designed with a specific archetype in mind. This is NOT anything new in Path of Exile!!! I love posts coming from people with private profiles who clearly did not read what was said.
Please enlighten me, oh wise one. What is the point of this specific line then if the gloves with the same exact modifier exist already in the game (other than exactly what I said: completely disabling an additional playstyle)? Every build that would ever want to utilize zombies counting as corpses would always want to use Aukuana's anyway due to 100% inc zombie life. The notable would be perfectly fine with just previous 3 affixes. Well, RIP Baron (2.6 - 3.10) We miss you, bald man.

They really need to start listening to the community more, if this many people are pointing out that this part of the notable is just straight-up bad, then there is a problem that needs to be solved there.
No clue how the phrecia ascendancies were designed, but if they put in the effort and time to try and balance them with the changes they made this event, then they should have known just how bad this puppeteer thing was and they should have fixed it for this event. There's just no excuse, I guess they need a real minion player to join their balancing team or something lol |

" They do, that's why we did get nice things as the latest QoL changes, and events like the current one. Cause GGG is listening to the community, well obviously to what the majority wants. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Obviously there were some incredible changes to the game in the recent major updates, no doubt about it; I am extremely grateful for them.
I just wish the alternate ascendancies like this one were designed around enabling completely new/dead playstyles like the one I was describing. We miss you, bald man.
