Eclipse Monument + Voidlight

Eclipse Monument
I am posting 2 hideouts together, as they tell a story and one does not exist without the other. They really are a 2 for one deal, fitting in a story with a focus on twins. I posted this in the Talent Competition, I did not know there was a dedicated hideout showcase thread. My apologies if this would be considered a "double" post. Eclipse Monument - Made to look like old ruins on top of even more ancient ruins. The twins are at rest. https://youtu.be/Z75zzBKJYR0?si=6MF23WuNzgHelGoI https://hideoutshowcase.com/hideout/show/8554/title/Eclipse%20Monument Voidlight - What had been contained in the previous atlas has broken free, corrupting the hideout and its inhabitants. A warning to those who would use the atlas for selfish gain. https://youtu.be/EQmCQQhhBX0?si=Q5YHjFoWfviRYod9 https://hideoutshowcase.com/hideout/show/8550/title/Voidlight%20Eclipse%20Monument Voidlight Alternate - Made for convenience and the illusion of switching up your luck if you have a frustrating run. https://hideoutshowcase.com/hideout/show/8551/title/Voidlight%20Eclipse%20Monument%20-%20Alternate I haven't done any video editing in years. It was a good refresher if nothing else. ![]() I decided to add the lore here. Silly, I know, but it helped me find the tone when constructing the different areas. Part 1 Zana and I found this place while first experimenting with the atlas, entering once we felt it was at least stable enough to not fragment our souls upon stepping through.. After exploring and finding it empty of prior inhabitants, Zana suggested we use it as a place to rest and regain our strength while branching outward inside the atlas. “I know you like dead things, exile.” gesturing to the assorted grave markers, and then to the horde of assorted undead I had made…..acquaintances with…over our last few weeks together. “I am still capable of growing fond of those still living as well, Zana.” Arms crossed, amused. “Perhaps we can invite others who can help us challenge the Shaper.” -Voidlight Part 2 New friends joined, some eventually left and pursued their own paths. It was peaceful at first, until we uncovered the connection between the Shaper, Elder, and Zana herself. Everyone was shocked to learn the truth, especially Zana, understandably. I sensed it faintly. Our fight with Shaper had brought on too much outside attention. This atlas has been marked. There is something lurking in here, watching from afar that makes the Shaper and Elder appear that of squabbling children still unsteady on their feet. I discussed with Zana, it is best we seal this Atlas away and start anew. Our problems are already too great a threat. This will set us back some time, as we rebuild and explore this new atlas. -Voidlight Part 3 Sirus came to me a few nights ago. “Exile! I know we all fear our minds may be slipping in this nightmare, but, Zana, I fear she is suffering harshly from this fate of hers. She has started to close herself off, more sharp, suspicious. Fire in her eyes, talking to something that isn’t there. I shall do best to comfort her, but stay sane, exile. For all our sake A few days later, Zana, Sirus and a few others went deeper into the atlas. They returned, but not with Sirus. Fear in all their eyes. It had not gone well. They stayed briefly, deciding to go to Oriath to treat the wounded. The next morning I returned to Oriath. Upon exiting the portal and gazing at the sky, it looked different. Like a primordial tempest of purple and pink hues swirling in the sky. The inhabitants that I had come fond of, misshapen. Hands where none should exist. This is not Oriath, or at least the one I knew. They failed, and as a result, she locked us in to buy them more time! I was naive. I should have looked for deeper meaning in Sirus' words. She didn’t even give us a chance to say farewell. -Voidlight Part 4 I felt the wave of relief sweep across the realm. I understood immediately, they had finally won. The voices of the Shaper and Elder, silenced.. Purple light began to fill the old decaying atlas. I had expected this. Prepared for it. My purpose. With the conflict decided, other beings began their move. I removed the decaying gate off the derelict atlas with a wave of my hand and entered. This is the foe I would charge myself with to keep them from interfering as new exiles rise to meet the challenge. The corruption did not spark from Anger like most think. It was slow and felt like a cold needle marking a hollow point inside myself. I stared into the mirror like surface of the lake, eyes reflecting back the purple glow of the void from behind my helmet, clutching a handful of red petals. I hope there is still something left of me. I may be too lost in the dream by the time they arrive. -Voidlight Last edited by MegaloMaster#0498 on Feb 5, 2026, 6:04:01 PM Last bumped on Feb 2, 2026, 12:52:22 AM
