Bring Idols to core alongside the Atlas Tree

Keep the current Atlas Tree in place, but disable it when any Idols are in the device. This way, you get the best of both worlds—start with your tree for progression, collect some Idols along the way, and then fully switch over to Idols.

No, it should be one or the other, not both, as they are already overtuned in their current state and combining them would result in excessive power creep. Even if idols were brought into the core game, they would require substantial rebalancing to be in a solid spot without breaking the game. In their present form, they clearly serve only as a short-lived toy for events rather than a permanent feature.

I'd rather see atlas tree have either 6~9~12 squares, or several "idol slots" for us to slot idols into to complement our atlas strats, than chosing either atlas or idols.


super min-maxed idols are superior at farming One very specific thing compared to atlas tree. So good in fact that there are groups printing out T0s like candies on par with affliction league.

Letting players choose either atlas tree or idols would cause anyone that uses atlas tree crippling themselves in economy set for nolifers as the baseline.

I can't stand idols, it really kills my enjoyment of the league. I'm having a hard time playing more than half hour at a time without getting bored.

They are a complete axe in my personal experience in ssf as well as them just not feeling good to progress.
