You only think temple is fun because currency is finally accessible

All this uproar proves the fact that if any mechanic would drop loot "currency" and let players achieve more power it would be fun.

So why not make the base game actually drop things and be fun through-out? Why is it locked behind an obtuse minesweeper game?

Why can I not kill things like and ARPG with "meaningful combat" and be rewarded? Why is that NOT the gameplay loop. Instead we get garbled screens of haywire graphics, path of excel spreadsheet, and hours spent on 3rd party sites.

The game is missing in the game.

i just got a temple setup with maybe 2 Sellable orbs ( 1d + 15chaos )
and sometimes 1 - 2 div

but the fun part - u got a prefered layout, that u want to play, and dont need to go in an out like maps.

And it dropped a lot oft tier 4 - 5 Rares, mostly jewellery. that where good bases to further craft on.
Also a place to farm white bases for further crafting.

So whats the point of saying , all is about divines?
They just killed that feeling of finding good rares at the same time...
dont get it..
I agree, just buff the remaining content and don’t gate it that hard behind rarity and countless other factors including area level etc. It is useless cause people will find a way around it anyway. People play this game to feel their time is respected and reward, majority comes for the dopamine. I am one of them and I also spend money on Poe frequently, but the current state is kinda depressing. It is run the meta mechanic or just suffer
I agree, PoE 2 has a loot issue, artificially gated behind various methods, Arbitor for example, I never bother reaching him because I am too lazy to farm citadels. Just give me good loots EVERYWHERE !
The "fake non-valuable virtual currency" addiction in one post.
Farming for raw currency is a noob trap and contributes to the economy falling apart. GGG literally nerfed several leagues to the ground in PoE1 for that exact same reason.

Vaal temple is a currency printer. Currency printers are bad.

The worst part of the comments in this thread and other similar ones show just how lost most players are that they think raw currency drops are all that matters. Like, it's terrifying how most identify "fun" in PoE2 boils down to hearing tinks as divines drop.

Logbook drop? Unfun.

100+ runic splinters in a logbook? Boring.

Enough relics from Sekhema trial to fill a quad tab in one run? Droll.

Omen from Ritual altar? Snore.

Finding a Jade Isles map? zzzzz.

PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

I agree that the game should be more like PoE 1.

This kind is a different issue, your are implying the drop pool itself sucks as well at the rate at which things drop. In which case I would be inclined to agree. My point is that you can have just about ANY mechanic but people are "addicted" to the fake feeling of being rich. Which to my point, is not game. It's fake day trading.

That is true, but another thing is also true. Currency is pretty hard to get right nwo if you are not using temple.

Actually because I can reliably fight atziri and experience her, instead of farming the temple over and over without a chance to get to her.
