Just killed Atziri and we both died at same time. No lootz?

I just killed Atziri then after her death the blood and aoe was still attacking for like 5 seconds after, with no where to run? Of course I died then got teleported out of the room. Now it says I killed her and to pick up the Medallion, but there's literally no room to even grab it.
