Reason I Am Not Playing Current Season

I wanted to note why I am not playing the season, as I believe most people would not provide said feedback and I believe the only way to improve is to acknowledge shortcomings.

The current season looks both horrible to learn and wildly lame.

I had a friend explain it to me and watched a video or two on it, looks absolutely torturous to learn and it doesn't seem like there is much of a payout. You could increase the rewards ten fold, it still would not be worth learning.

That said, also I dread doing the campaign again. If I am playing seasonal, I want to PLAY THE SEASON.

Not looking for an argument or debate. This is my perspective of the season. The end.

Yet people printed out hundreds of thousands of divines while NOT using any set intricate planning, no learning required.

Can you explain the whole mechanic in one phrase cuz to be honest I am trying to learn it but right now seems terribly convoluted..
