The Trials of Chaos Selections Not Appearing

In the Trials of Chaos often the Selections will not appear for me to make a selection.
This appears to be realated to windowed mode and having other applications running. If I alt tab and/or close all other windows I can finally manage to get the Trials of Chaos Selection to appear and make a selection.
