Constant terrible server latency

For the entire league, the last 4 days being the most egregious, I have gotten Massive horrible latency spikes lasting upwards of 30 minutes. It starts suddenly and randomly on entering a zone, and fluctuates from 50 ping to thousands, and back and forth, until it decides to stop completely at random on entering a new area. It never just stops or just starts, it always happens when switching zones.
Today, While moving to my hideout, my latency suddenly went crazy, completely unplayable, then when I teleported to the well, my latency dropped to 12. I switched zones again. Boom, right back to 800. This makes doing nearly anything impossible especially if I'd like to stay alive while doing it. I'm in Texas, playing on the Texas servers. I've tried switching servers but that didn't help. I've tried logging out and in. I've changed whatever networking related settings i can in game. I've made absolutely certain this isn't a issue on my end or with my network and did an exhausting list of things (mostly because i was so aggravated and wanted to get it solved)to confirm it wasn't happening on my end , but i also was able to confirm friends that i actively play with day to day, have the exact same issue on the Texas server, as well as the California server. I'm trying to be specific as I can. Are other players having this issue? If so, maybe could you list your server or other examples of the issue? Not just you. Getting some insane lag that I haven't had before. Everything else besides POE2 runnin just fine.

Its been unplayable... ms has has been spiking above 1k.
On top of that, these servers have used up on of our 1.2 TB of data because of the server issues on this game. |

It is unplayable in the current state, I am getting huge spikes of latency. I think someone needs to do some server restarts . . . .

" i have similar issues like what you had described. i am not able to solve this and i cannot play the game because of this. the only way that i am able to solve this issue is to use Exitlag. the unfortunate thing is that Exitlag charges a monthly subscription for the service. it suxs that i have to pay for a third party service in order to play the game. 34pre98qua

Yeah, there were some folks in other threads trying to discredit that this was a GGG problem, but there's too much evidence of too many folks on different connections experiencing the same issue. Regardless of what the exact cause is, there is a definitive problem that is making the game virtually unplayable with latency spikes north of 300ms. Sat and watched it ping pong yesterday before finally giving up and uninstalling.

Where are the GGG knighs to the rescue? c'mon, people are saying bad things about GGG again... come defend them!!
and btw, GGG are mainly focused as always on cosmetics... they don't invest more than 30-60 mins max on a problem and if it can't be fixed, ignore it or disable that feature (Holten Vaal abuse). Let GGG work on their cosmetics while it will take several years to leave Early Access, possibly even never leaving and just releasing cosmetics after cosmetics until it is even more unplayable garbage of a game |
