Essences in maps

I just ran 3 maps with 302% chance for essences (2 tablets 182%, 4 atlas nodes 120%), zero essences in the maps. This is a new character at level 74 so I'm in lower tier maps but I'd expect at least 1 of the maps to have 1 essence, is that too much to ask?

Alright after 5 maps and no essences I decided it must be something to do with my tablets. I had 1 tablet that also 100% increased chance to contain an additional summoning circle (which as a side note is the most hilariously pointless thing in maps) and each map I played had a summoning circle. I removed the tablet and the next map I ran had essences. I suppose this could be coincidence but it seems like summoning circles prevent essences from spawning. If this is intended, what on earth for? Assuming this is intended, it should be made clear in the tablet descriptions that this will happen.
