Hello! I am writing to provide some feedback and suggestions regarding Path of Exile 2. I have been playing since version 0.1 and have purchased the top-tier supporter pack. Through my experience, I've noticed a significant issue that I believe impacts a large portion of the player base: the extremely low drop rates for certain high-value currency items. The scarcity of these currencies creates a challenging cycle for many players. Without a sufficient supply, it becomes nearly impossible for us to craft our own equipment. This often forces us to purchase pre-made items from the market early in the league, with prices being prohibitively high. As a result, the gameplay experience for average players can feel restrictive, as we are unable to engage deeply with the crafting system that is a core appeal of Path of Exile. I understand that maintaining a balanced in-game economy is crucial. However, I would like to suggest a potential adjustment: a moderate increase in the drop rates for these key currencies. This change could have several positive effects: 1. Improved Player Experience: A more accessible currency supply would allow a broader segment of the player base to experiment with and enjoy the crafting system, leading to greater engagement and satisfaction. 2. Sustained High-End Economy: This adjustment would not diminish the achievements of dedicated crafters and streamers. They would continue to create top-tier items for trade. The primary difference would be that the relative value of their currency and crafts might scale with the more abundant economy, while the ability for regular players to participate would increase. 3. Healthier Economic Cycle: With more players able to craft, market activity could increase. While individual currency prices might adjust, overall engagement with the game's core systems would likely grow. The current sentiment on the official forums, such as in the Early Access Feedback section, indicates that other players share similar concerns regarding drop rates and economic accessibility. I recognize that the economy's foundation is built on currency scarcity and that "item quantity" is the primary stat affecting currency drops, not "item rarity." My suggestion is made with this complexity in mind, hoping for a balance that preserves the game's depth while making its core pleasures more attainable.
