Sacrifical heart (Act 3 quest item) stuck

Basically the title. I was in a rush through Act 3 and picked up the Sacrificial heart while in the back-in-time Utzaal. I left the area through the warp gate without remembering to go back and turn it in. Not only am I out the 2 precious points (the worst!) but now it's stuck in my inventory clogging up space. Can it be deleted? Disappear if you leave the area? Something?
