Best guess it's big physical damage hits from the increased boss difficulty.
You could switch herald of ash to scavenged plating for the boss fights to buff your armour 40% more. Other than that you could try converting some of the damage to another type. Molten being is 4 points away from your current tree. Catalysis would need your amulet or a jewel to get. Perfect essence to convert to chaos would require changing your body armour. |

" funny enough originally i had stacked armor and the bosses still annihilated me. the reason i have less armor now is it felt like armor was pointless (has 88% phys reduction) |

well while you have a lot of life 17k armour is quite low and it looks like you've got all of about zero armour applying to elemental damage.
I would SERIOUSLY suggest sitting down and watching some carnarius videos on armour stacking, particularly his "Hulk Smash" series https://www.youtube.com/@Carnarius_v2 He rambles a bit but he's also the only person i've seen face tank all of arbiter's meteors and be perfectly fine and he's doing it with just armour lol |

" The big problem with armour is the scaling against big hits. Even with 90% reduction being shown you only reduce damage by 90% on hits up to 1% of your armour. On hits of 10% of your armour total you take 50% of the damage. On hits of 20% of your armour total you take 33% of the damage. On hits of 30% of your armour total you take 25% of the damage. To make it work against the big bosses you need to really overcap the armour. Also without armour applies to elemental/chaos you will end up taking to much damage on any map where the mobs gain additional damage. |

why are you travelling all the way to ancient aegis when your armour doesnt have energy shield? There must be closer pure armour nodes...

Try that hunting rune for 50% increased damage against rares/uniques.
Can also try the banner that gives like 25% more damage, banner skills (especially with that lineage support) are EZ to get going now. |

There's not a lot of efficiency across your gear and defense scaling choices.
You don't use ES but you spend 7 points going to AR/ES nodes. You have a chest that negates critical strike damage, so you can go pure AR + Life but you do not get pure AR gear - helmet and boots are giving an insignificant amount of evasion and you do not have a real avoidance layer. Vitality 2 is 40 spirit for like 60hp regen that is in no way worth it for you but I bet it is acting as a poorly-functioning bandaid for DoT recovery out of combat. You are using a 630dps talisman to cast a warcry. Elemental damage likely wrecks you - no armour applied to elemental. You don't really have any CC like stun/pin/freeze/electrocute. Slow charm is really only good in endgame if you can somewhat reliably and instantly refill your charm charges otherwise you are almost always on 0 charges in scenarios where being un-slowed matters. Your ability to leech and sustain DoT is based on your leech and since it's based on attacks, it's nerfed if you're slowed. I bet shock hurts. I bet maps with added elemental damage hurt. I bet slams from a boss that have phys converted to elemental damage hurt. With no significant avoidance so you likely get shot-gunned by some spells and projectiles. If you want to go full life and AR and not get shot-gunned you need to have insane leech/recoup/regen or something that significantly mitigates or avoids projectile damage, or something like instant leech-thorns. You are basically safe from two things - unbuffed medium damage physical slams in a vacuum that give you time to press a life flask and leech and also minor chip and DoT damage while attacking and in between packs. I recommend ditching the warcry and just getting rage gem and armour break gem on your attack and then use jagged ground on your slams to use up the endurance charges with the nodes leading up to "guts" that give you life recovery every time you spend an endurance charge. Then you can also use the free skill slot for something else - maybe shockwave totem to build up stun/blowup your jagged ground/cc and you could even have the nodes that give you 8% increased attack speed every time you place the totem which will be on your single beefy targets you want to get rid of faster. If you're really getting hit a lot, thorns + instant thorn leech might be something to consider as well as it also synergizes with your current leech setup. It really helps in those moments where 20 abyss bugs shoot 40000 physical attack projectiles at you at once and you have no avoidance and/or your regen/overleech is down. I mean you kind of have a unique scenario where the unique boots "Legionstride" might feel better than your current boots in terms of survivability lol. Probably more going on but just some ideas in the pot to consider I guess. Last edited by karsey#2995 on Jan 5, 2026, 1:20:25 PM
