Another league, another world ending Exploit. Just concede and make a fun solo-self found mode.

Title, by now this is iteration number 4 and every single time there has been a world ending exploit by end of week 2, most actually have been on week 1. Casuals cannot compete with the divine printing machine that are exploits and dedicated group users. It cannot be done, and this affects casual players because they are unable to acquire loot due to the massively inflated prices. The answer is simple, GGG.
Make a fun Solo Self-found with increased rarity and increased quantity, furthermore have an NPC that exchanges crafting orbs using Exalts as currency, for example you can buy a divine orb for 100 exalteds, or a greater exalted orb for 10 exalteds, or a perfect exalted orb for 100 exalteds. Apply similar logic to other crafting orbs. There, your game will instantly become playable past week 2, casuals will be able to enjoy the game at their own pace always having a path forward to gearing, they will also learn how to craft and in turn have even more fun in the game. They will be able to ignore economy ending exploits that are 10000% sure to come every league. You are most welcome for my genius idea. When choosing to play Fun SSF you would get the following perks: - Up baseline rarity by 100% (increased rarity as if your character was running that stat) - Up quantity by 30% baseline. - Make an orb exchanger npc that exchanges all orbs available in the game for exalts. Alchemy and Exalted orbs are 1 to 1. Chaos Orbs are 1 per 5 Greater Exalted Orbs are 1 per 10 exalteds. Greater Chaos orbs are 1 per 50 exalteds. Perfect Exalted orbs are 1 per 100 exalteds Perfect Chaos orbs are 1 per 500 exalteds. Divine orbs are 1 per 200 exalteds. Chance Orbs are 1 per 150 exalteds. Annulments are 1 per 50 exalteds. (they should be 100 but annulments are fun, and should be readily available for SSF) Fracture Orbs are 1 per 500 exalteds And all orbs can be traded back to exalteds at the same ratio. There, SSF is fun and players learn to craft. Easy, game saved. Thanks all for coming. Bonus! You can keep the old boring Solo Self Found and rename it to Ruthless mode! Yipee. " this league is by far worse than every other league, its so dissapointing, i was having so much fun for the first two weeks but now I just dont see a point.... the economy is in shambles is putting it lightly...... the exploiters are b asically now in control of the economy.... and the other 70-99% of playters are now in a state of being impossible to catch up, cuz the temple exploiters will still have their perfect set up, that no one else will be able to do now . |
|
" And unfortunately this will continue in every single league. GGG must concede and adopt a fun Solo-self found with Orb Vendor or risk having literally every league be a "Exploit early, exploit often" mentality, which pushes casuals right out. Literally no casual is going to say Ah man I can't wait to exploit this ARPG, thats what fun is about!" - those are only streamers and RMTers (who often are one and the same tbh). A. That is their cash cow, and mutually beneficial parties like RMT are willing to play into their imaginary market. I do not see that happening.
B. That would require actually sitting down to do the math and balance the game, drop rates, builds. When they can just let "the market" dictate and gap fill all those issues. The work does itself, so I don't see that happening either. C. I would REALLY enjoy a balanced SSF mode where I didn't have to deal with all of those issues and I dunno play and ARPG instead of feeling like a day trader in monopoly money. |

" I respectfully disagree. I could make a fun and balanced SSF for 90% of the players. - Up baseline rarity by 100% increased rarity (as if your character was running that stat), u - Up quantity by 30% baseline. - Make an orb exchanger npc that exchanges all orbs available in the game for exalts. There, now the game is fun, you can thank me later if they do add it, which I hopefully do. You want me to go even deeper? Fine. Last edited by daxtrovian#4477 on Dec 29, 2025, 3:26:15 PM

I don't like how it's assumed that this only influences "casuals". I'm not a casual and I still refuse to participate in what I believe to be exploits. I have over 100k hours of online gaming experience. In any other game I've ever played, this would have been a clear exploit with punishment attached to it. Why risk it?
I now basically play SSF on a trade league. Thankfully, Omens and Abyss currency trades well on Alma. I can do some interesting stuff. But all my aimed for endgame builds have been crushed. So now I'll just do some experiments and be done with the league fully. And I'm twice salty because just before this whole thing went down, I was already on the brink of quitting the league and just got the curve with the build I had. Now I'm just jaded and don't care anymore |

I honestly agree, this league is hyper doneso. This is basically forcing an unfun SSF into everyone. The least they could do is ensure SSF is fun to play.

GGG, please hold these babies hands.

" I didn't say it couldn't be done, I said they won't. But yeah it's a sit down a figure out the math type of issue. They won't as it effects RMT, and is actual work. There is no reason I should be forced to play Path of Excel Spreadsheet with the sweatiest and grossest type of human beings just to "enjoy" my ARPG. Funny enough now that Blizzard has dumped Turd Furgerson D4 had a very fun season this time around. |
