The ONLY problem (and solution) with the Temple.
|
1) So, this Temple is meant to be the main League mechanics. And it is - for those, who "work" in the game.
But it is actually NOT. It is not accessible for "dads", "moms", and casual players overall. Why? Because you have to set it up. And to set it up, you have to "run" it. And to run it ONCE, you have to run through 6 (six!) maps. And guess what: to run through 6 maps fast - you have to invest time and divs into the decent build. 2) We all watch streamers having fun, looting a sht ton of divines per hour. Stable income. We all know, it CAN be extreemly profitable. And it is - for those, who play 10+ hours a day. The dopamine flow is real - for those, who invest tons of hours into it. Into map running and building their temple. And it is not fun and profitable at all - for those, who can play about 2 or 3 hours a day. For all moms, dads, and casual players - for those, those who bought this game - and cannot experience the fun of the new mechanics, during this league at least. They watch others having fun. 3) Solution is simple, you see. Allow ALL players to build their somewhat decent temples. Allow us to run the temple EVERY map. Give us the choice. The previous league mechanics, the Abyss, was sometimes frustrating (I really hate these shadewalkers!) but it was still available for everyone, during every map. Crafting was a blast last league. I enjoyed it. And this league - well, it is fixable. Just allow players to build their "fun" temples. P.S. About economy - it will be fine. I am into "real life economy" for almost 15 years already - and it is a lil' bit more complicated than the one in the game. Simplе arbitrage strategies will do their thing. So please, DONT nerf the profits. P.P.S. For those devs, who brought talismans, shapeshifting and plants into the game - I love you. You saved this league for me. Cant you setup the temple in low tier maps too??
I mean the guy is setting it up during campaign... |

Probably you can, but you still have to close one map in 2-4 minutes (including boss killing to sustain maps), it will result in ONE temple run (and some construction) each 12-24 minutes.
And the temple will be the same lvl as you, afaik (till 81), so you will have to invest into the gear to be able to complete it fast enogh. And if you dont have the currency - you will be SLOW. Where to get this currency? To farm somewhere (NOT in the Temple) - invest your time once again. |

" As far as i understood all of this should be for the dads and moms and all those who got a life right? What is all this planning to run a temple the most efficient way. you can run it the way you want until league ends....you also have to gear up to do T15 waystones anyway so i dont really understand what's this all about, sorry. |

" Well, I will explain. 1) There is NO point in running Temple "the way you want" - this mechanics becomes profitable (giving you that DOPAMINE flow, when you actually get that divines dropping on the ground, you know) after very deliberate and time-consuming setup. Else it is just another not-so-important map with strange things happening inside. Not rewarding. Why should I build it? It will be destroyed anyways. Realistically, as an average Joe, you will run like 3-4 temples max during you gaming session. Its like 20 temples a week, if you play 5 or 6 days. Is it enough to build your temple? If its not - why should I waste my time "building" it? 2) If there is no point in running the Temple - why is it called the "league mechanics"? Maybe it should be called "The league for hardcore players/streamers/no-lifers"? And casual players should go play somewhere else? 3) This mechanics creates abyss-wide gap between those who have time to set it up properly - and those who dont. It is obvious and visible, people with good temples have stable and high income, and an average Joe has... tier 15 non-modded maps? Why are there so many topics about nerfing here? Its because the gap is real. Segregation is real. People dont like that, they want somewhat equal gaming. If its the league mechanics, it should be accessible and somewhat profitable for everyone. |
