quarterstaff skills have horrible use/cast/action times

even with very fast weapons and investing in attack speed the use time of several of the quarterstaff skills are just downright awful. what's especially frustrating is using them there is sometimes a big delay in actually using the skills and sometimes they use faster than they should. example of this is charged staff, stagging palm, and whirling assault. this all have outrageous cast times (well over half a second) and none if it makes sense why sometimes they activate quickly, sometimes they take a long while, and sometimes they skills just don't even activate at all especially if there are mobs nearly hitting you, you can't actually USE the skills so you just die. anyway these are just awful and need fixing because they feel like garbage to play and i'm tired of the skills not actually working most of the time.

I don’t have any input delay for most Quarterstaff attacks. I am using 8 skills actively (bell, FT, Ice Strike, hand of chayula for bossing, whirling assault, shattering palm for clear, charged staff and mantra for buffs). I have 25 attack speed weapon and rapid attacks 2 on all attacks (3 on hand of chayula) and the attack speed buffs from the damage to mana node by Resonance.
The ONLY skill that has a shitty activation delay is hand of chayula. IDK why they gave it added attack time but it’s fuckin miserable. Hand of Chayula + Despair + Hex Bloom + Impending Doom + Voltaic Mark were so good last season on my previous Chayula. Now it’s unusable for clear, serves only to give -25% chaos resist to boss. |
