Mapping in Endgame 0.4

I don't understand why you made it so we can't do lower tier maps after going up. As someone who is coming back after skipping 0.2 and 0.3 leagues. I did not know that the mapping had been this change and so I rushed to higher tier maps without realising I couldn't go back down.

Please, what is the purpose of a map stash tab if I will never have use for any lower tiered maps. Being able to go to a lower tier map for testing builds or just to have an easier time etc...

I understand progression but it's not up to 'you' to decide how fast or how far a player wishes to traverse the endgame. Soft locking players into higher tiered maps is not good.

What I do is rush as high as possible, climbing the tiers with white/magic mods. Then once I hit the point where it's challenging or I die more often. Then I go down 2-3 tiers and run rare maps (sometimes corrupted). I find that hits a sweet spot for being able to run the content without dying but also able to farm loot/currency.

I just soft locked myself into a higher tier and I hate it. If I want to do tier 1 mapping for whatever reason on a 100+ div build no matter how ridiculous that would be... It's nobodies god-damn business! I leave for two leagues and sensitivie micromanaging starts to take root in this game. It's worse than PoE1 but atleast in PoE1 it made sense to seek a solution to prevent the MF group divine printing strats. Now this is just cruel!

What do you mean, you can't do low tier maps? They always available and you cna run lower tiers. If you are aout of maps - buy them or go to Interlude areas they drop T1 maps.

Just tested - I can run T1 maps as lvl 92 characters.

Tedious, if u have done t15 maps u should be able to buy all white maps 1-14 in infinite amount from Doryani. Anything else is just stupid.

Infinite T1 you cna turn into infinite T15 because of Reforge mechanic. Same, infinite T14 reforge into infinite T15. Maybe, it makes sense to make better droprates for waystones, but this also present in tablets mods.

I didn't say I "can't" I said I feel "soft locked" due to Doryani's Shop. I can of course trade other players or make a secondary character and limit to a specific tier I want like a buffer. Although that is a lot of work just for some lower tier maps... Even going to the Interlude just to get a lower tier map is ridiculous.

I specified that I go down 2-3 maps as my strat once I hit that plateau. I simply used T1 to express that I should be able to freely access any tier map I so desire regardless of my build.

I have no desire for a t1 map right now(for testing builds later sure or fun shenanigans...), I am at t11-t12. I want to do t8-t9 maps. Imagine farming the Interludes just to get a t8 map. You know how long that would take XD. Then the other option is to spend roughly 5ex so i can roll the mods I want on the t8. So I need to spend tens-of-ex to get the maps then I still need to invest a at-minimum another ex or more and THEN I need to corrupt them. You see the issue...?

... When I could simply have the option to buy for "gold" the map from Doryani. Ya know there is common sense and then there is defending a ridiculous system dude. Ya know what I mean lol. I'm not trying to be a jerk but I mean seriously man it's bs and you know it man.

I could get the trash corrupted for 2ex but depends on the build. Honestly I have purchased enough maps from PoE1 to know trading players for maps is a tedious process. Best left for invitations (Maven was my fav).

Point is, I don't want to have to trade to play the tier map I want. I should be able to just purchase them from Doryani like before. It's about allowing players the freedom to progress or backtrack as they desire. If I never want to do pinnacle content... that's on me. I shouldn't feel forced to progress is the point I was making.

Side note, in 0.1 I used to take T1 maps to quickly farm towers. Using as few nodes as possible between them. Then once I got 2-3 towers setup in an aoe; I would juice up my maps.

So like even at T15, there is use for lower tier maps. I used to use lower tier maps where you essentially knew you would one shot the boss... Just quickly traverse the map to the desired locations. Prep them, then use the juiced maps to farm what you wanted.

It's a bit different now but I see no reason why I couldn't just buy a T1 infinitely from Doryani. AND no I am not gonna spend an hour farming up T1 maps so I can go run maps in ENDGAME... that is just ridiculously unfun and not efficient at all lol.
