I think I'm done for now. At least until some fundamental changes happen

I've played every season and i am so tired of the trials. Every time getting to the third trial having to completely respect out of melee to go ranged because of the nickel and dime damage to honor failing the mission or one mistake and boom there goes almost all of your honor is not fun it frustrating and stupid I shouldn't have to respect to arrange build to get my Ascension points.

Another issue is the massive discrepancy between armor, evasion and energy Shield their whole philosophy about armor is completely backwards. The whole idea is to reduce damage from smaller hits but when you get to higher difficulties nothing's a smaller hit.

So it feels like you're pigeonholed into these ranged aoe builds and it's boring as hell when playing those builds. It's frustrating when you're trying to play a tanky melee build designed to absorb damage and then throw in Ascension trial in there that punishes you for that build.

I understand if people like those trials but the issue is is that it's being forced upon those who despise and detest them. Maybe a solution would be that you can get your Ascension point 10 levels earlier if you do the trials but then it's Auto unlocked for you at a certain level. Or remove the trial requirement and give some other reason to run them other than a core part of progression.

I don't want to play a ranged AOE build every damn season and I don't want to respect every time I do a trial to a range build and until something is done to address this I just don't think I'm going to be playing this game anymore I know I can't get a refund but I would take it if I could at this point. There's this issue has been present since the very beginning and just seems to be ignored.

players like him are the reason why there should be a "noob server" and not fuck the entire game for players that like challenges cause of casuals like OP.

Challenges? What challenges? Difficulty is a joke in this game. Even a toddler could play it with his eyes closed.

Is it too hard to comprehend the fact that I said that having to play range classes it's boring and that melee is fundamentally broken when it comes to the trials it's punished more it's not fun it's a frustrating mechanic.

There's a difference between challenging and just frustratingly stupid. elden ring and dark souls are challenging with good game play. what Poe2 has is a bunch of mechanics that are just frustrating to deal with you're fighting the system instead of playing the game and enjoying the system.

I agree Sekhemas and ToC are bad, mostly because of the RNG difficulty. and Sekhemas Honor system.

In your case though I don't understand why you are even trying Sekhemas. If you are wanting to play a melee heavy stand their and get beat on character then Sekhemas is not the right trial to be completing your ascendency. I would be completing it in Trial of Chaos.

I have always found ToC to be easier than Sekhemas, I don't like either of them but it has been my take since 0.1 that ToC can be easier than Sekhemas. Sekhemas for one just takes way too long, two I find it more RNG than ToC and three the honor system is very punishing.

I think the Sanctuary mechanic that they used for Sekhemas as an ascendency was the wrong move.

It should still be in the gamel, as It is an interesting mechanic but it has such a huge favortism to certain builds/playstyles. This is not the right call as essentially every single build has to try and complete something that is so one sided. One other thing that needs to happen is the 7 run ToC should give me my 5&6 points dammit.

Due to the power and build defining nature of ascendency nodes I would dislike them being too difficult to achieve because it literally defines whether or not you can play certain builds and currently in PoE 2 a lot of builds are directly built around ascendencies due to their power scaling.

AFAIK they are optional, you don't have to do them right away if you are not ready. Only suggestion I can offer for the Sekhemas trial is to over level, rush through and only fight monsters when you have to.

Oddly I had no issues doing trials as melee for multiple leagues now.

Granted, it does take a mindset shift to dodge instead of face tank things. But I never find it particularly hard unless I was trying it underleveled. Now I treat them like the a trials in 1, I just go back for them when I'm overleveled. Alternately, for 1 or 2 Div and 5 minutes in trade chat you can post someone to get your points.

Watch a streamer who can tell you how to play the game if you're failing.
This is early access. If the player is failing, it's the devs who are failing. This player's feedback is valid. The state of melee is dog sh*t. The devs hate melee. The game has dozens of punishments for melee built in so the solution is to avoid melee and play ranged. Every streamer you talk about watching to teach you how to play is going to do the same thing, avoid melee. They are going to make niche ranged builds and pet builds to circumvent the problems.
