Staggering Palm projectiles stop working if you swap to a shapeshift form and switch back

Once the timer for staggering palm buff starts, if you use a shapeshift skill then go back to quarterstaff, you no longer shoot projectiles even though the timer is still displayed. Heavy stunning an enemy does not re activate the buff, and you must wait for it to tick down to 0 for it to work again.
