0.3 in its entirety was amazing. I have no idea what horse has ridden you to introduce these changes in 0.4

My character is about a 100d worth, and special maps, bosses and citadels are unplayable. 90% of my gameplay is clearing a map and then either getting lucky to snipe a boss, or dying to him. I was seriously considering skipping all bosses and just leaving a map once it's clear, and redo it with a T1 waystone just to avoid the constant XP penalty.

I have gone as defensive as I can before I cripple any map clear and I'm still simply getting one shot by essentially any kind of mechanic that I fail to avoid. I have not completed a single special boss or citadel this league. Not one. How many more divines do I need before I can out gear at least /some/ of this cacophony of badly telegraphed, overly punishing move set?

The league mechanic is a worthless insult of my time as well, both in terms of having fun with it as well as the rewards.

There's no way I'm continuing this league. This is very reminiscing of 0.2 where I quit during campaign after you tried making even white mobs a slog. Just keep making builds weaker and bosses even harder. Idk what's the purpose of gear right now anyway, since you can have a proper off-meta build with good investment into it, and still you're as tanky as a wet piece of paper.

And no, I won't play poison burst. But maybe in 0.5 I'll wait to see what Fubgun plays and just copy him. I'll join the Meta Bow Andy team.

I have 1300 hours in POE2. Almost all of it from 0.1 and 0.3. You can guess what drives player engagement. Fun builds, cool mechanics. 0.4 has none of this for me.

same situation. I was late on 0.3 league but I continued my character on standard. I can actually finish anything on 0.3 but on 0.4 I have been level 97 0 exp since the update because I constantly die. even the most stupidest excavation on a map kills me with its too OP mobs. the reward it gives really aint that great. too much nerf too much changes that they made that arent on the patch notes.

I spent like 500 divs on the 0.3 now my character became trash on 0.4. I dont know if its blood mage specific but I think its not just me feeling frustrated with this update.

Have you tried playing in a full party with 800% aura bot? I heard that gives you all the divines.

Or maybe triple stack abyss with extra rares. Huh wait, why isn't that working anymore... 🤔

The only reason why I was able to make even a bit of currency since release was because I had some luck slamming bases early on. This doesn't work anymore and maps have essentially not provided anything meaningful at all. That's why I tried so hard to make a viable build for bosses and citadels but Amazon has nothing except for poison burst (no) and ice shot. I tried playing Amazon melee (lol) and just ended up going ice shot for map clear, because melee is pure self harm.

But the gameplay around stun/freeze is just hopelessly idiotic when bosses take so long to get frozen even when you're stacking buildup, and then they still don't die to one Snipe, which makes subsequent freezes even harder. This gives them plenty of time to catch you with at least one hit, which means death.

Yea this is probably a skill issue from my side. Guess I'm just dogshit at this game

All games when they launch have a massive uptick in players who are gonna try the game out. No game is going to hold all those players till time and memorial man. Look at any game ever made. IT has a SHarp tick in the beginning and then slowly over time stabilizes as people leave.

That doesn't mean what you think it means. All games have a vision and a direction that will capture certain audiences. As the game progresses into 1.0 it will dwindle some more. That just means this game isn't for EVERYONE....which is fine. POE 2 still puts up 150k plus every league...which is a fk ton of people mate.
What exactly are you struggling with? Is it the anti one-shot mechanic? Because I have not noticed any meaningful difference, still steamrolling everything. Only difference is now you have to wait a couple of seconds before you kill the boss. So what exactly is the problem?
