i find it strange GGG is so reliant on outside work (neversink, poelab, PoB) yet does something like this without any clarification. |

GGG's response to my friend's appeal is "Trade tools are not allowed". Yet, all youtoubers are using them in their videos!

Thing is GGG would not specify what tool you were using, it gives malicious actors a starting point in their efforts to avoid future detection.
The would also not say trade tools are not allowed, they would say third party tools. If and when they decide to ban a specific tool it WILL be a blanket ban including streamers, BUT if it was going that far they would also likely warn people to stop using them in a forum post. Overwolf is a platform on which people can build overlay apps. GGG has clarified what functions are allowed in makros and which are not, and I don't know that GGG has endorsed that particular overlay, so this post is a bit suspicious to me. If anything, your friend should complain to the creator of the overlay and ask them why they haven't gotten their app greenlit
And then again, I dont know why your friend didn't just use Awakened PoE Trade The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
