The Sorceress and Ascendancy Varashta

Hi poe2.
I'm having trouble buffing my Djinns. They're considered minions, but their stats don't buff them—allies within range get them from their scepters, and I don't need most of the stats on the scepters because they don't say "MINIONS." They only say "ALLIES."
I thought they were the same thing, but in reality, they don't work at all.

Why?

How can I buff my build if half my items don't work for damage?


**In the passive skill tree they are all listed as "minions" and there are no problems with this.
