Introduction: To solve the issue of "copy-paste builds" and the lack of true class identity in Path of Exile, I propose a new system called The Divine Ascent. This system begins after defeating Kitava, turning the campaign into a true "prologue" and the endgame into a journey of Godhood. 1. MECHANICS: The Divine Skin & Soul Progression The Divine Skin: After Kitava, your Ascendancy becomes a "Divine Skin." This acts as a specialized limiter. You can only access passives and gems related to your Godhood (e.g., a Necromancer becomes a "God of the Dead"). This eliminates the confusion of the massive passive tree and allows for personal, viable builds without external guides. The Green Relic (The Sacred Item): Players can choose one item (e.g., a Wand) to become a "Green Item." It has no level requirement and scales its power with your Divine Level. Soul Sacrifice: You can sacrifice Unique Items to your Divine Skin. This destroys the item but fuses its unique properties directly into your character’s soul, making gear a "complement" to your innate power. Divine Immortality: Players can opt into a mode where they never lose XP upon death, but in exchange, they earn 50% less total XP. This makes progression slow but guaranteed and stress-free. 2. THE LIVING PANTHEON Gods as Companions: The Pantheon Gods become NPCs/Companions that you level up (1-30). Divine Points: Leveling Gods grants "Divine Points" used to upgrade your Skin or fuse Support Gems into "Universal Gems" (saving socket space). Cosmetic Rewards: At certain levels, Gods grant "Divine Accessories" (Earrings, Tiaras) that provide permanent stats, like 30% Elemental Resistances, built directly into your character. 3. LORE: The Primordial Trinity & The "True" Ending The Trinity: The world is managed by three entities: Val (Omnipotence/The Boss), The Elder (Omnipresence/The Patch-worker), and Einhar (Omniscience/The Traumatized Seer). The VAAL (Second Generation): The name VAAL (with two A's) represents the Second Generation of gods created by Val. When Val fell into a "Divine Penance" slumber, the VAAL gods rebelled. The Atlas Prison: The Atlas and Maps are actually "fragmented realities" created by the Elder and Einhar to trap the rebellious VAAL gods and prevent them from waking Val. 4. THE ULTIMATE TWIST: PoE 1 vs. PoE 2 The Awakening: In the true final act, Val wakes up. With a single gaze, she subjugates all Titans (Maven, etc.) and Gods. She assumes responsibility for the chaos and opens a portal to the future. The Judgment: PoE 1 Players: Recognized as the "Cleaners" who maintained order. They are forgiven and appointed as the world's eternal guardians. PoE 2 Players: It is revealed that they are the reincarnations of the Traitor Gods. They have been sent back to level 1 in a new timeline (PoE 2) to learn humility and "earn" their divinity again from scratch. Conclusion: This system bridges the gap between both games, rewarding veterans for their years of service and giving new players a narrative reason to struggle and grow. A complete overhaul that no one asked for, has no vision, made by a random person and not an employee which is a legal nightmare, and on top of that, AI.
There's no shortage of tools and engines that range from very accessible like RPG Maker or Text-based games, to Unity, to Unreal. Have you considered making your own game instead of suggesting a revamp that's never going to happen in a poorly formatted wall of text? |

You've spent a vanishingly small proportion of your post explaining why you think they should be implemented; how they would improve the game; why you believe the existing playerbase would welcome the changes. For example, the "massive passive tree" is a feature; not a bug. GGG heavily markets it & the freedom it provides. They would not readily remove it. tl;dr: Your post would benefit from fewer names & more justifications. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.
