PoE2 League Clarification
|
Hello, I read many threads but I didn't manage to find a Clear answer.
So please if there is an official one, post it. Content wise (not talking about gears etc), like new map, monsters, bosses, balancing, new items etc What will be transfered to Standart from Temporary league? Will all of it be transfered after the Temp League ends? Will the Standard get all exclusive content as mentioned above from TL when it ends? Some refer to it as mechanics and that confuses me more. And on top devs said that early access will be a separate league when game becomes official. That means early access Standard will not get further updates or will we have 2 Standart leagues with same updates? Last bumped on Dec 19, 2025, 1:33:33 PM

" This is decided on a case-by-case basis. Challenge Leagues are designed so that the game always has something new - but that GGG can try something out, see how it affects the game at scale, and can comfortably turn around and say "thanks for playing! hope you enjoyed it" while removing that content from the game if e.g. it belows up the trade economy or trivialises the item hunt. A recent example of this is Path of Exile's v3.26 Mercenaries league. They were extremely powerful and were ultimately not rolled into the core game after the league ended - but they might come up in limited ways in the future. " Neither - I think you may have misunderstood them slightly. Characters created today in Standard League - or in one of the Challenge Leagues which are released during Early Access - will be in the Standard League when PoE 2 leaves EA. GGG do not offer first-party Technical Support.

Ok, I will use the mercenary example.
Some character changes even if they make them op or not is not that big deal if they don't roll in core game, they will get nerfed later anyway. I ask more specifically for maps and monsters / bosses etc. Things that really change the game concept. |

" It depends - and the decision is made during the league. Most leagues aren't "meant" to go core. They look at a lot of factors, including feedback, before deciding what goes core and what doesn't. It's a process. Other additions to the game, like "Secrets of the Atlas", which was and endgame expansion released at the same time as Mercenaries league, was a core expansion adeed to both leagues and standard. But to address your more specific points: Most serious balance changes that are more or less unrelated to a league mechanic itself, do usually find their way to standard once the league is done. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
