Old characters are gone

I decided to play PoE again after PoE 2 weekend, linked my PoE account to to steam, but there are no characters now. Completely empty. And yes, I linked the correct account - creation date and achievements are right. I haven't play PoE in maybe 7 years... Was there character wipe?
